Adobe announced this month that it will no longer release retail packaged versions of its software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and the Creative Suites. Creative Suite 6 will be the last version available to purchase as a hard copy. Instead, they have decided their Creative Cloud service will be the only way to use their programs for future updates.

At $50 a month for an individual license (which allows installation on two machines), you get access to every Adobe product — from Photoshop to InDesign to Premier and everything in between, plus the Creative Cloud product-only programs as well. You also get 20 gigs of cloud storage for sharing, storage and collaborating, Web hosting services and training tutorials. You also receive a membership to Behance ProSite integrated into your Creative Cloud subscription. Behance is an online portfolio and creative social website for sharing ideas and your work.

There are varying prices if you would like single programs, or if you’re a larger group, of course. All of which seem very reasonable. You also get a discount if you currently have at least a Creative Suite 3 or above license and also for educational purposes. They also offer a free 30-day trial with limited access.

The Creative Cloud is available for sign-up today.
